 About the role

Your Impact as Product Developer Manager Electroconductive textiles: 

• You lead projects and items independently based on own technical competencies and project management competence.

• You design or develop tests/DOE’s based on theoretical insights and well-founded assumptions.

• You give technical assistance to customers, subcontractors and projects by giving value-adding inputs and/or coordination of implementation.

• You take initiative to learn outside your own domain, contribute to knowledge build-up by checking state-of-the-art technology and apply in Bekaert.

• You acquire a broad knowledge or total overview of Bekaert know-how and develop domain-related in-depth theoretical and practical knowledge. You become an expert within a specific domain.

• You develop creative ways to solve problems and you are an out-of-the-box thinker.

• You work effectively with cross-functional teams (customers, Marketing & Sales, Process Engineers, production...) to reach your project target.

• You coach others.

About You

Essential skills & competencies:

• You have a master’s degree in engineering (electro-mechanics, chemistry, material science) or relevant experience.

• Preferably, you have a first work experience of 3 to 5 years in product development and project management. 

• You have a strong interest in technology, and you are application and customer oriented.

• You have good communication skills. You are able to bring a clear message in a technical field to different parts of the organization, e.g. project team and higher management.

• You are fluent in English. Knowledge of Dutch is an asset.
